ERPM Automatically Secures Privileged Accounts in Microsoft Azure
(Los Angeles, CA – October 28, 2014) Lieberman Software Corporation’s privilege management product, Enterprise Random Password Manager™ (ERPM), is now Microsoft Azure Certified. ERPM is among the initial class of Azure Certified products announced this week at Microsoft TechEd Europe 2014 in Barcelona, Spain, and the first one that provides privilege management for Azure.
ERPM is also now available from the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, from where it can be securely launched and fully deployed on Microsoft Azure within minutes. From there ERPM provides enterprise-level security controls over the privileged accounts on all layers of the IT stack, both on premises and inside the cloud.
“We’re pleased to be among the first companies to have a Microsoft Azure Certified product,” said Philip Lieberman, President and CEO of Lieberman Software. “Azure is the ideal environment to deploy ERPM at scale because of Azure’s global network of datacenters. Between the range of platforms that ERPM can manage, and the elastic computing nature of Azure, there is a very compelling business case for this solution among customers needing to extend privilege management to the cloud.”
ERPM removes persistent access to sensitive systems by automatically discovering, securing and auditing privileged accounts throughout the cross-platform enterprise. It also provides delegated users with quick access to business applications and corporate social media sites in a secure environment, where elevated operations are automatically recorded and audited. ERPM ensures that an organization’s powerful privileged identities are only available on a temporary, need-to-know basis – preventing unauthorized, anonymous access to IT assets with sensitive data.
“By extending Lieberman Software’s privilege management product to Azure, our mutual customers benefit from a secure, high-performance solution for controlling the privileged credentials that are generated on a massive scale in large enterprise environments,” said Garth Fort, General Manager of Enterprise Partners, Microsoft . “And with ERPM being Azure Certified, customers can be assured of its ability to deploy and operate at massive scale.”
Privilege Management for Azure
ERPM supports pre-built Virtual Machines Images and Windows Power Shell 4.0 or higher scripts, allowing an entire ERPM environment to be rapidly deployed within Azure and orchestrated with minimal human interaction. ERPM can be distributed via the Azure Access Panel anywhere across the Azure global footprint. The integration of Azure with System Center 2012 allows customers with on-premises ERPM deployments to easily migrate their environment to the cloud and makes it practical to mix and match on-premises and cloud components transparently.
